As of Sunday it's officially summer. It's amazing how it can be -5 and within a week +30. But I am not going to complain. Summer is here and I can't wait for more smoldering hot days! I just hope those days land on Thursdays, Friday afternoons, Saturdays and Sundays. Those are days I will actually be able to jump in the lake when I feel like I am dying from the heat.
I made my first batch of summer jam tonight too. A tasty batch of rhubarb and blueberry!
I am sitting here listening to two t.v. personalities argue over whether or not Jon & Kate + 8 is child exploitation, and I attempting to write a good blog and I just can't. I am so annoyed because I am actually watching this crap. Not just this celebrity crap but because for the first time in probably 3 years I have actually payed attention to Jon & Kate. I always thought Kate was a bitch and thought it was only a matter of time before Jon left her. But now I feel bad for her. I feel bad because what choice does she have now? If they completely end the show she'll be alone raising 8 frickin kids. Sure Jon may show up from time to time but clearly he has other priorities... just check out the Enquirer in the grocery line (lol, as if I actually said that). Anyway it's definitely sad because in the end it will be the kids who suffer. They will suffer if their parents divorce is broad casted on reality t.v and they will suffer when their parents no longer have a high paying career on t.v and have to go back to 'real life' work. It will be hard to support such a larger family even if they both work full time jobs. But it's possible, people do it all the time. My grandparents raised 9 children with very little and everyone turned out okay! That's all I have to say about this... I am no better than the other 10 million viewers that will keep the crazy train running!
