Successful Shopping

I just returned from a girls trip with my mom and sister. I thought I had bought a ton of stuff until I unpacked last night. I guess we just didn't have a lot of room, so it appeared like we bought the state of Minnesota. Anyway, I was successful at Ikea. I bought the dresser I posted a couple of months ago as well as this little shelving unit. I am getting really excited about the nursery.
We also found this beautiful  fabric store called Craft Planet. It wasn't a very big shop but the selection was amazing. We had spent an afternoon in Winnipeg looking everywhere and were completely unsuccessful, within minutes at this place we had the entire bedroom set picked out. This is not the best picture but it gives you an idea. My sister's mother inlaw will pick out matching solid colors. She will be sewing curtains, fitted sheets, pillows, blankets, skirts, etc for the nursery.

On top of that we found beautiful fabric for my mother to re-upholster my little rocking chair. My grandfather was an upholster and made these chairs for all of his grandchildren. I am really excited to see what my mother creates.

I have also decided to do a more simple tree decal. I love the owls but realized very quickly that they can become overwhelming and a little to "themey".  These trees are alittle femine, but I could easily change the butterflies. However I did see a very gender neutral nursery with butterflies for a boy and it looked really good.

OR

Just with white trees on a grey wall. We'll see though. I have to decide quickly so they are here in time for the nursery decorating.

Well that's all for now.
