So I am done, at least for this year. I feel like I say this line far too often in my blogging. I think I've been planning to be done school for the past, oh wait since I began? However this time it is actually going to happen. Not to say I'll never attend school once I am done but not for awhile.
I hate saying good byes. I get really uncomfortable. I like to slip away without an ordeal. I am not going to lie, I was pleasantly surprised when the kids planned a going away party for me. Even more so when I read their cards and book they made me. One of my students even made me a birdhouse! I loved it. The class gave me stuff to start my classroom, including a blackline masters for math. I loved it. It was coil bound so that I can photocopy templates instead of spending hourse draw circles and measuring stuff. I was so excited about it. Most of the kids couldn't understand why. Who gets excited about a math template encyclopedia... actually I never thought that would be me either!
I have next week sort of off. I am doing some sessions for an even planned by the university. I am not totally sure what I am going to do but I'll throw something together. Then I start work for the summer.
I was hoping for a little trip East but now we're looking at a house. If that pans out then no trip but if not then I'll be going East. The house we looked at is over priced and is in need of a lot of updating, however it's been on the market for close to a year and the owners do want to sell. So if we can get the price down then it might happen. We're not really actively looking for a place. But we're definitely keeping our eyes and ears open. I am a little picky I want a place out of town preferably on Batchelor... but we'll see!
