I am attempting to start a baby registry. I know it's early, but as you can tell I am bored today. I don't love the ideas of registries, for various reasons. One being I don't like asking for things. I feel like people will give you what they want to give you. However I went by that mantra for my wedding, and I was right. They will give you what they want, even if it's 4 toasters and 6 different dish sets. So I am trying to be a little more practical this time around and encourage people to give me things that will fit in with my color scheme, style or simply I (and of course baby) will benefit from.
Though it is hard. Mainly because I can't find things I like at Babies R Us and department stores. I tend to get pulled to the cute and unique items. Ones that only the savvy will find. With that being said I like when others find unique gifts and I am surprised by them. So it's a catch 22, if I don't ask I won't get it but if I ask I feel greedy. Not too mention, I can't really create a registry with things from all over. When you start one it's pretty standard and only for one particular store.
Does anyone know if you can create an online registry for multiple stores?

You can absolutely make your own registry that shows things from multiple stores, remember my honeymoon registry?
