Oh if money wasn't an issue...

I am starting to feel the crunch on baby preparation. I have 8 weeks left (give or take) until I am cursing the ground Davide walks on while I birth his (I suspect 10 lb) baby. In some sense 8 weeks is plenty of time, but up until now I wasn't too worried about being ready. I had my ideas so that was enough. To alleviate some stress we've started the nursery. When I say we I actually mean Davide. Our crib and glider have come in and we pick them up this weekend. I have all the furniture, now for the decor. Only problem is I have expensive taste. All the things I fall in love with are bloody expensive, but then I can't get them out of my mind. Like this lamp.....

Someone please tell me $129 is NOT too much for a lamp in a baby's room!

I also have an affinity towards quilts. Now yes I did make my own but I don't actually know how to quilt so it's not comparable. I know there are many woman in The Pas that make baby quilts, I have just not mustered up the courage to call, only to be disappointed with the price attached.

I might be able to justify a "baby" quilt seeing how they are smaller in size, which may mean the price tag is smaller as well.

I also feel the need to decorate a nursery so perfectly that it will be rate 5 stars on Project Nursery. So that means unique artwork. The problem here is that I am actually quite capable of creating my own artwork. I just never do it.

I am perfectly capable of creating a unique piece of artwork.... but I am also perfectly capable of going onto etsy and purchasing one.

I think the lamp is really nice...and think...it could be in his room for 18+ years so is it really THAT expensive?!
