I am back!

It's been awhile, but true to my nature I always come back. I have a box of unfinished diaries, journals and apparently blogs. However I have no shame. I am just back!

We welcomed another beautiful baby boy last November.

Micah Samuel Novo  9lbs 6oz ~ 21"

I am not going to lie, I was a little worried about having two boys- a baby and a toddler. But over the past 8 months I learned that it's really not that hard. My keys to sanity are cosleeping, breastfeeding, babywearing and keeping busy.

Keeping busy is probably a double edged sword. If I could bottle Mateo's energy, I could heat our home in -40. With that being said, keeping a toddler busy can be tricky with a newborn. Thankfully I had a Cuddly Wrap and an Ergo (just needed to purchase an infant insert). I used these with Mateo but mostly for walks and trips. Now I use them daily and I have added to my collection. My new love is the ring sling. My sister bought me a lovely green one from Little Frog, I purchased a second hand woven from Sew Funky and then splurged on a navy Sakura Bloom linen sling.

These have been lifesavers. Micah nurses and naps easily in them and I can take Mateo on walks, quad rides (I feel a little backwoods when I do this), play dates, climb treehouses, give underducks and build sand castles. Not to mention make supper, do laundry and clean the kitchen easily.

First time in the Ergo - this was a rare day, Mateo was at daycare and we did Christmas baking.

We had what felt like a tropical January with single digits, so we got outside a lot.

Dance parties in the treehouses!

I even dapple in woven wrap carriers, but by no means am I a pro.

I have learned there is a very expensive culture of babywearing out there. There are so many beautiful carriers. I often have to restrain myself but impulse buys. But the ones I do have, I love dearly. I don't think I will ever easily part with them. I don't even want to think about it, but that's only because my baby is already 8 months and I don't know how that happened so fast. And Mateo celebrated his third birthday on Saturday.
My last post was sharing his first birthday and my next post will likely be his third 😢
