Everyone is gone...

The house is empty. It's been a hustle and bustle the past week. My sister and her family were visiting. Mom and Dad were in from the lake and my brother made his appearances. But now there is silence (thank god for breast feeding). 

I remember as a child always being sad when company left, whether it was cousins from out of town or a friend from a sleep over. There was so much excitement then nothing, everyone scattered to their rooms or a spot on the couch and just vegged out. 

My screaming banshee must be his mothers son because he is laying snuggly next to me sleeping after only waking up from a nap 2 hours ago. He is likely played out and finally feels like he won't miss something.

It's rainy here too, so cuddling in a warm bed with Mateo is the perfect way to relax on a Sunday!

As for our busy week, we had two parties for Mateo, a birthday supper for my brother and various visits with friends. 

The Very Hungry Caterpillar party was a hit. Davide successfully tamed the Mosquitos, the rain held off until today and the sun didn't sweat us out. Mateo's play structure was done and his friends loved it. My decorations and food worked out perfectly. So the party that took a year to plan was a success!

Now onto the next.....

 

As much as I love my iPhone for pictures I can't wait for his party & our family pictures to share with everyone!
